Last year was the first time I went to DC or to New York, and it was quite fun! It was a very interesting experience as well, and the kids had a great time too!
Last year we had 2 1/2 days in DC where we visited memorials, the Capital and the White House (from the outside!) We also went to the Smithsonian Air and Space and Natural History Museums.
We then had 2 1/2 days in NYC. (I don't think NYC is on this year's schedule though). The Wax Museum, The Rock, Statue of Liberty, Radio City Music Hall. Lots of fun!
I also have a shutterfly photobook that . I put it together and made it available to the kids on last years trip. I can email if anyone would like to see more pictures.
I may or may not be going this year. (Summer school starts right after we get back, and WOW I was tired!)
